SBN Marketing is owned by Stephanie Boyette Nelson. Stephanie was born and raised in Salisbury, NC. After high school, Stephanie attended UNC-Chapel Hill. She graduated from the university’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication with a concentration in Public Relations.

Throughout college, Stephanie maintained an internship with a public relations agency in Chapel Hill. Her hard work and dedication led her to be the first intern at the agency allowed to handle pro bono clients. This internship also solidified Stephanie’s passion for all things marketing—newsletter writing and design, ad design, press releases, event coordination, etc.

After college, Stephanie held several jobs in marketing and design, working her way up the “corporate ladder.” As the Internet started to burgeon, so did Stephanie’s interest in it. She began to learn, hands-on, about Internet marketing, then social media. As these areas continue to grow and change, so does Stephanie’s interest in them.

Stephanie is a board member of Social Media Charlotte, acting as Communications Director.  She is also a member of the Social Media team for TEDxCharlotte, Social Media Club of Charlotte, SEMCLT (Search Engine Marketing Charlotte), Charlotte Interactive Marketing Association, Social Media Society and the National Association of Professional Women.

In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys reading, traveling, watching tv, listening to Tori Amos, rooting on the Tar Heels and spending time with friends and family.
