- Direct messaging will grow in its use for marketing purposes. Apps like WhatsApp, Messenger and others, as well as DM functionality within apps like Instagram will be among the top ways to talk to your customers.
- Video will continue to grow as the way customers consume content. Blogging and such will remain relevant, but live streaming and recorded video will continue to rise.
- Businesses will need to narrow focus on which outlets actually work for them. The time for everybody being everywhere is over. Look at your metrics. Figure out what outlets are bringing you leads and customers. Focus your energy there.
- Trust is more important than ever. With data breaches being an almost daily occurrence, customers are desperate for businesses they feel they can trust with their transactions. So businesses need to “communicate trust” to clients and potential clients. Share testimonials. Put industry accreditations and awards on your website and social media outlets. Let folks know they have reason to trust you.
