2022 is upon us, ready or not. And so it is time for my annual “word of the year post.
A couple of years ago, I wrote about tips and tricks for choosing your word. If you want to do this with me and need some help choosing your word, feel free to check that out.
This year, I’ve chosen the word “improve”. Yes, it is a lot like last year’s word (“better”). But that’s where I am. I still want to improve on myself as a person, a business owner, etc. With the other word and such on my plate, I don’t have a lot of time to put into choosing a new word and working out the goals around it, so going with a similar word to last year lets me participate in having a word of the year without the effort I would normally put into it. (I’m sounding lazier and lazier as this goes on, but I promise that’s not it.) Meanwhile, I will continue to work on improving by asking myself questions like:
- What skills to I need to learn to improve my productivity, quality of work, and/or services I can and do offer?
- What areas in my work do I need to look at improving to provide better results for my clients?
- What can I do to improve my health and well-being, and how would that improve other areas of my life including business-related ones?
So there you have it – my word of the year and how it relates to what I’m working on. What’s your word of the year? Drop me a line using the button below!
